Angela C. Reffel, PA-C
Angela Reffel PA-C, MHP, is a physician assistant in the section of Gastroenterology of Boston Medical Center. She received
her Bachelor's Degree at Brandeis University in 1982 and went on to complete her Physician Assistant Certificate and Masters
of Health Professions at Northeastern University in 1988. Since completing her training, Ms. Reffel has gained
experience working in primary care, women's health, urgent care and gastroenterology. Through her gastroenterology
experience, she has developed a special interest in liver disease and colorectal cancer prevention and screening.
She is trained to perform flexible sigmoidoscopy for colorectal cancer screening.
Ms. Reffel is currently a consultant at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health where she coordinates the Colorectal
Cancer Awareness Program and represents the Department as an active participant and coordinator of the Massachusetts
Colorectal Cancer Working Group. She is also the Bureau of Family and Community Health's representative on the MDPH
Hepatitis C Advisory Board.
