Jaime Oviedo, M.D.
Jaime Oviedo, M.D. Dr. Oviedo joined the faculty of the Section of Gastroenterology in 2002. After earning his medical degree at the Javeriana University in Bogota, Colombia, Dr. Oviedo completed his internal medicine residency and fellowship training in gastroenterology at Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Oviedo's primary clinical interests include the management of acid-peptic disorders and inflammatory bowel disease. He is currently involved in a research project that examines the prophylaxis of gastroduodenal ulcers associated with the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Dr. Oviedo is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the Crohn's and colitis foundation.
