Francis Farraye, M.D., M.Sc., FACP, FACG
Dr. Francis A. Farraye is Associate Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at the Boston University School of Medicine
and Lecturer in the Department of Ambulatory Care and Prevention at Harvard Medical School. He is the Clinical Director
of the Section of Gastroenterology at Boston Medical Center and Co-Director, Center for Digestive Disorders.
Dr. Farraye received his medical doctorate from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He completed an internal
medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. He received a Masters Degree in
Epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health. Before joining the faculty at Boston Medical Center, Dr. Farraye
was a clinical gastroenterologist at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates for 15 years and on the staff at the Brigham
and Women's Hospital in Boston.
Dr. Farraye's clinical interests are in the care of patients with inflammatory bowel disease as well as the management
of colorectal polyps and colon cancer. Dr. Farraye is a member of the Chapter Medical Advisory Committee for the New
England Crohn's and Colitis Foundation and its immediate past chairman.
