The Boston Institute for Early Child Development
BMC’s Home Visiting Program, founded by the Boston University School of Medicine in 1875, is recognized as the oldest continuously functioning program of its kind in the US. The program brings doctors to the homes of chronically ill elderly in Boston’s South End. Over 600 patients are served each year by doctors, nurses and medical students.
