Boston Center for Refugee Health and Human Rights
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts refers refugees who come to Boston to the International Clinic at Boston Medical Center. The Boston Center for Refugee Health and Human Rights is the first of its kind - a multi-disciplinary center that serves the health, social service and legal needs of refugees, political asylum applicants and newly arrived immigrants. The Center provides medical and psychological care to high-risk groups such as torture survivors and those who have suffered refugee trauma. In addition to the critical services it provides, the Center also serves as an important national model for providing such needed services in our increasingly diverse and multi-ethnic society.
