
Amal K. Kurban, M.D.
Vice-Chairman of Academic and Clinical Affairs of the Department of
Dermatology at Boston University, Director of the Dermatology Residency Program and Professor
of Dermatology. He is the former Chairman of the Dermatology Department at the American
University of Beirut. He graduated from the American University of Beirut Medical School
where he also completed his Medicine and Dermatology Residencies. He has had extensive
training in Dermatology in the Middle East and Europe. Dr. Kurban is also a graduate of the
Johns Hopkins Dermatology Program. He is Board Certified in Dermatology. He joined the Boston
University Department of Dermatology in 1985. His primary interests are clinical dermatology,
especially those of an infectious nature, as well as skin laser surgery.
