Our TeamGlynne Stanley, MD Contact Address Office Hours Dr. Stanley was born in Manchester, England and received his MB.ChB. from the University of Leicester School of Medicine in 1983. He served as a House Officer in Medicine and Surgery and then as a resident in Cardiology and Nephrology in Leicester, England and then a resident in Medicine at the Warwickshire Health Authority. He performed his anesthesia residency training in the Southwest England Regional Training Program and in 1990 became a fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists of England. In 1991, he trained as a fellow in Cardiac Anesthesia at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital. After this fellowship, he returned to Leicester, England for Specialist Training in Anesthesia for 2 years. He then returned to Boston as a fellow in Cardiovascular Anesthesia and Research at the Deaconess Hospital and came on staff at that institution with Anaesthesia Associates of Massachusetts in 1995. He was President of Massachusetts Anesthesia Council on Education from 1999-2001. His clinical pursuits include all types of anesthesia but he has a particular interest in cardiac anesthesia and he is certified in transesophageal echocardiography. His true passion (apart from watching and playing soccer) lies in educating the 21 residents at Boston Medical Center. He has numerous publications in the anesthesia literature and his current interest is focused on outcome research. |
