Boston Medical Center’s Department of Anesthesiology is affiliated with the Boston University School of Medicine and has staff to support the clinical research activities. The department has the resources to conduct clinical trials according to the Code of Federal Regulations and International Conference of Harmonization (ICH) and Good Clinical Practices (GCPs). The Department of Anesthesiology is dedicated to advancing our specialty and is currently involved primarily in clinical research projects including evaluation of new neuromuscular blocking agents, neuro-monitoring, outcome studies and new pain techniques and drug trials.
